Miami Dolphins DFS Spin
Jaylen Waddell (italic) was removed from the injury report for Week 2 and will play against the Patriots. Take a backseat to Tyreek Hill in Week 1 and you only saw five targets. He turned those looks into 4-for-74 yards, so it wasn’t a lost day for the speedy running back. However, it’s clear that he remains Miami’s No. 2 offensive line, and that will lead to tough times. Fantasy managers should treat him as a boom/bust WR2 for Week 2.
New England Patriots DFS Spin
Patriots WR JoJo Smith-Schuster He said his knee is “100 percent.” Smith-Schuster is not on the Patriots’ injury report ahead of the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins, but there were concerns during the offseason that his knee would limit his play. NFL Network’s Mike Giardi reported in June that Smith-Schuster was dealing with a lingering knee injury he suffered in 2022 that kept him out during minicamp. Smith-Schuster seemed to lack explosiveness in the Patriots’ Week 1 matchup against the Eagles and was pulled as the team tried to score on the final drive for the lead. If fantasy managers are able to do that, they should avoid starting him in Week 2.

Prediction for Dolphins vs. Patriots:
Give me Miami Tua Tagovailoa is 4-0 against Bill Belichick in his career and is coming off a 466-yard day in Week 1 against the Chargers. He needs 362 passing yards to pass Kurt Warner’s 2000 performance for the third most passing yards in a team’s first two games. There’s no doubt Belichick will have a better defensive game plan for Mike McDaniel’s offense than Brandon Stanley and the Chargers did last week in Los Angeles, but I wonder how New England will proceed if the game finally turns in Miami’s favor. The Patriots lack explosiveness in their passing game.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Miami Dolphins -2.5
