Juve is applying to the Rome public prosecutor's office to accept the annual financial statements as of June 30, 2022


Investigators are taking their first steps after moving the Prisma investigation from Turin to the capital

The Rome public prosecutor's office is taking the first steps in the Prisma investigation. After the Court of Cassation declared on September 6th the territorial lack of jurisdiction of Turin by ordering the transfer of the documents to the capital in charge of the investigation (adopted on November 8th), today the Roman investigators asked Juventus to acquire the documents ” especially about the annual financial statements as of June 30, 2022.”

The news was communicated by the Juventus club in a statement that referred to “the ongoing investigation by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office following the transfer of the criminal case already pending at the Turin judicial authority”, where we also read: “In this context The company has learned , that investigations are pending before the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome against company representatives for the case referred to in article 2622 of the Civil Code regarding the annual accounts as of June 30, 2022. The company is not under investigation Given the content of the document acquisition request, the company has reason to believe that the investigations concern the same matters (so-called capital gains from “cross operations” and so-called “salary maneuvers”) that were already the subject of the Turin investigation as well of the Consob procedure pursuant to art. 154-ter of Legislative Decree 58/1998.

It is worth remembering that the criminal investigation against Prisma involved 12 people, including the former Juventus executives (from Andrea Agnelli to Pavel Nedved, Fabio Paratici and Maurizio Arrivabene) and the company itself as a legal entity. The allegations included market manipulation, regulatory obstruction and false invoicing for various reasons.
