West Virginia Mountaineers Game Notes

Garrett Green Returned to lead WVU to victory over TCU with good execution and game management. The Tallahassee native brought winning football immediately upon his return to the lineup, and as long as he’s healthy, the Mountaineers will have a shot every time here in the conference. Green has thrown for 544 yards and four touchdowns, and he has added 185 yards and three rushing scores in four starts.

Houston Cougars Game Notes

Donovan Smith Appeared in a revenge spot against Texas Tech last week, going 29-for-40 for a season-high 335 yards with four touchdown passes, while adding 59 yards. The Las Vegas native had success with his alma mater’s defense, but his defensive unit couldn’t stop anyone either, and he’ll be looking to get the Cougs back in the win column this Thursday. Smith has passed for 1,347 yards with nine touchdowns to three interceptions and added 165 rushing yards and three scores in five starts.

Houston has reached the total overtime in 5 of their last 7 games

West Virginia vs Houston betting prediction

After an impressive fight against Texas Tech in Lubbock last week, the Cougars will now head home looking for answers. Houston played its best game of the season offensively, and I like that effort to spill over into this matchup. This one will mean more, as the Cougs find themselves in another spot of revenge, facing HC Dana Holgorsen’s old team on Thursday at TDECU. I would love to lose here against Houston at home as they look to find their place in the Big 12 Conference.

College Football Week 7 Prediction: Houston Cougars +3
